About Annie
I am a compassionate and values-driven aged care professional, and support coordinator originally from South Africa and now proudly based in Perth, Western Australia since 2023. As a wife and mother to a spirited 12-year-old daughter, I bring a deeply empathetic, family-oriented approach to caregiving—one that is rooted in respect, dignity, and genuine human connection.
My professional journey began in the banking sector, where I held senior management roles in Asset-Based Finance and Business Support. This experience honed my leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills—qualities that are essential in aged care and support coordination particularly when coordinating services, advocating for residents, and working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
I hold a Certificate IV in Aged Care, reflecting my commitment to supporting older adults with dignity, respect and practical care. I also hold a Support Coordination Level 2 Certification, enabling me to guide clients through complex NDIS and care systems with clarity, advocacy and compassion. My background includes a Certificate in Accounting, which strengthens my ability to manage funding, budgets and service navigation with accuracy and transparency. In addition, I hold an international qualification in Therapeutic Reflexology, supporting a holistic approach to wellbeing. My transition into aged care was inspired by my elderly grandparent, whose journey instilled in me a deep respect for ageing and the importance of personalised, meaningful support.
I have hands-on experience working at a Residential Aged Care Facility, where I provided person-centred care to residents, including those living with dementia. This role deepened my understanding of cognitive decline and reinforced the importance of patience, empathy, and tailored support in dementia care.
My approach to care is guided by faith and family values, which emphasize compassion, integrity, and service. I am also an animal lover and outdoor enthusiast, which helps me connect with residents through shared interests and holistic wellbeing practices.
I am passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of the people i meet. I bring warmth, professionalism, and a keen sense of purpose to every role, and I am committed to upholding the highest standards of care in line with Western Australia's aged care best practices, including trauma-informed care.
